Michael McKenna

As President, Michael is responsible for the overall day-to-day management of Togala and ensures the company’s smooth operational procedures. With 30 years of construction industry experience, both nationally and internationally, Michael moved to Canada in 2013 from his native Ireland. Michael has held a wide range of roles throughout his career, including Project Engineer, Site Superintendent, Contracts Director, Director of Operations and Vice President/District Manager for one of Canada’s top five construction companies. 

His background and experience in the construction of various building types using different delivery models, provides detailed knowledge to our partners.  This fuels his ability to expertly manage the challenges of any given project.  

Gavin Sands

Gavin has extensive experience in the construction industry with 15 years’ experience in both General Contracting and Cost Consulting. Prior to joining the Togala team Gavin worked as a Senior Project Manager for one of Canada’s top 5 Contractors.

Gavin brings a wealth of experience to the Togala team having worked on and managed a wide range of projects throughout Western Canada in the commercial, institutional, residential and healthcare sectors using various types of procurement methods.

These include construction management, lump sum and design build/design assist.  As a qualified Quantity Surveyor Gavin is extremely motivated to ensure projects are completed within the projected project budget and on schedule.
